LZ 127 Zeppelin airships are widely regarded as the most successful of their kind. They stand as historic milestones that have never been surpassed. Between 1900 and 1938, the zeppelin company GmbH constructed more than 100 airships in 27 variations. The largest of those was the LZ 129, produced in 1938, measuring 245m in length, 41.2m in diameter and 200,000m in volume. It was propelled by 4 Daimler diesel engines with a combined power output of 4,200PS, capable of reaching a speed of 131km/h and a range of 12,000km to places like Japan, North and South America for passenger, mail and cargo transport. This particular model of the Graf Zeppelin is very popular. It has a tasteful, retro design with an automatic movement and a brown pierced dial showing the balance wheel.
